Morgan Academy baseball star Gunnar Henderson will play for the Delmarva Shorebirds in Maryland in the 2021 minor league baseball season.

The roster was announced Monday for the Baltimore Orioles' farm team that didn't play last year due to COVID.

According to the Salisbury Daily Times, Henderson is "highlighting the lineup" as an infielder who is currently the Baltimore Orioles' No. 5 prospect.

Henderson was a second-round pick in 2019, drafted out of John T. Morgan Academy in Selma. He played the 2019 season with the GCL Orioles, finishing with a .259 batting average, 11 RBIs and one homer.
