Daily COVID count

Dallas County is reporting 2,923 cases of COVID-19 as of Sunday, an increase of seven cases since Saturday. The death toll remains at 44.

Cases in Dallas County have increased by nearly 80 in since last Monday and deaths by two, according to the Alabama Department of Public Health.

The vaccine has been administered in Dallas County for the last two weeks. It is now available to another round of those who qualify. Read more about that here.

There are currently 401,900 399,150 confirmed cases in Alabama, an increase of 2,750 since Saturday, and 5,334 deaths related to the virus, an increase of 35 since Saturday. More than 1.96 million tests were conducted as of Jan. 10, according to the Alabama Department of Public Health.
