Local Spire employees chose Clark Elementary School as their annual “Day for Good” project where they donated time to volunteer in the community.

On Thursday, about 10 local Spire employees cleaned the grounds of The Clark Elementary School in Selma. Wearing bright orange “Spire Serves” shirts, the crew weed-eated, trimmed bushes and cut grass and they made hamburgers and hot dogs for teachers and staff for lunch.

Principal Dyphelia Thrash thanked the volunteers for being there even when the students weren’t due to virtual learning during the COVID-19 pandemic for the first nine weeks of school.
