Winn Dixie Selma

Winn Dixie in Selma will start offering the COVID vaccine on Friday.

Southeastern Grocers Inc., the parent company of Winn-Dixie, announced Tuesday that 34 Winn-Dixie locations in Alabama will offer 2,200 one-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines.

According to al.com, the free vaccines are available on a first-come, first-served basis starting April 2, while supplies last. Alabamians with health insurance need to present their insurance card, while those without insurance will need to show a valid driver’s license or social security card before receiving the vaccine.

Selma's Winn Dixie is located at 1952 West Dallas Avenue.
Winn Dixie joins other retailers offering the vaccine, including Walmart, Rural Health Medical Program, Carter Drug and some CVS locations.
