Selma Sun owner Cindy Fisher and her family held a grand opening on Thursday for their office on Broad Street.

The Selma-Dallas County Chamber of Commerce hosted the event that welcomed 70 well-wishers at the new office at 127 Broad Street and included a ribbon cutting with Selma Sun leaders, staff, family and dignitaries.

Among those in attendance were Fisher's parents and co-leaders Brad Fisher, associate publisher, and Debrah Fisher, business manager. Fisher's other family came to Selma from their homes in Washington State, including her twin sister Joni Fisher Grindstaff and younger sister Leslie Fisher Kruzic and their children.

Staff in attendance were Todd Prater, Sarah Prater, Fred Guarino, Jim Herod and Faith Callens.
