Hurricane Ida predictions map
As Hurricane Ida makes landfall in Louisiana, school systems in Selma and Dallas County are closing schools as they anticipate severe weather.
Selma City Schools and Dallas County Schools are closed on Monday and Tuesday because of bad weather predicted.
Ellwood Christian Academy is also closed Monday and Tuesday also due to impending weather.
Wallace Community College Selma also announced closure on Monday.
Morgan Academy has canceled after school activities for Monday. 
A state of emergency has been issued due to the impending severe weather from Hurricane Ida which could last until 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Selma schools are instructing scholars to complete remote learning activities on Monday and in-person learning will resume on Wednesday.
