bridge lighting

BY BRAD FISHER & CINDY FISHER | Selma Sun Staff

A plan several years in the making could light up downtown Selma by late 2021.

Longtime efforts to place permanent aesthetic lighting on the Edmund Pettus Bridge are finally in motion, with contractors in place for design, and the public is invited to share input during an online public forum set for 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at www.facebook.com/SelmaCenterForNonviolence

The forum will feature experts from HLB Lighting and Parsons, two contractors who are working on a design for the lighting. The entire project should be completed in late 2021.
