Daily COVID count

Dallas County is reporting 2,929 cases of COVID-19 as of Monday, an increase of six cases since Sunday. The death toll increased by one to 45.

Cases in Dallas County have increased by nearly 86 since last Monday, according to the Alabama Department of Public Health.

The vaccine has been administered in Dallas County for the last two weeks. It is now available to another round of those who qualify. Read more about that here.

There are currently 404,000 confirmed cases in Alabama, an increase of 5,000 since Saturday, and 5347 deaths related to the virus, an increase of 13 since Sunday. More than 1.97 million tests were conducted as of Jan. 11, according to the Alabama Department of Public Health.
