A grand opening and ribbon cutting for the new Vaughan Family Medicine Clinic originally scheduled for Jan. 19 has been postponed due to the uptick of COVID cases.

A new date for the event was not specified.

In a message on its Facebook page Vaughan Regional Medical Center stated:

"Unfortunately, we must postpone the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of the Vaughan Family Medicine Clinic. Due to the sudden rise in COVID-19 cases, we believe it is best to hold off on celebrating together until deemed safe by our medical leaders. In the meantime, we are still taking appointments for the Vaughan Family Medicine Clinic by calling (334) 418-6648. Thank you all for understanding."
