The Dallas County School System has closed its campuses and offices until Jan. 18 due to cases of COVID.

This following a recent decision from John T. Morgan Academy to switch to remote learning because of infections among students. Selma City Schools is also going virtual but will resume on Jan. 10.

In a message on its Facebook page, the Dallas County School System said, "Do not send your children to school if they are experiencing any of the following symptoms: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose. Please take this seriously and stay safe."
