Snow accumulated at some homes in Selma and Dallas County, including on the Alabama River.
Dallas County Emergency Management says roads are passable despite light snowfall continuing until noon.
The National Weather Service out of Birmingham released a winter weather message on social media at 7:31 a.m. Tuesday saying light snow and cold temperatures may result in some minor snow accumulations of up to one half inch in counties that include Dallas and cities that include Selma.
The winter weather advisory is in effect until noon Tuesday. NWS says to plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute and recommends slowing down and using caution while traveling.
