Black Belt Community Foundation has shared an announcement from Verdant Fund that funds will be distributed to visual artists who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Verdant Fund is a partnership of the Andy Warhol Foundation with the Alabama Contemporary Art Center, Coleman Center for the Arts, and Space One Eleven.
The fund aims to distribute $60,000 to artists who have been living and working in Alabama for the past two years. Artists who apply may receive $1,000 each to be used for basic living, including groceries, rent and other things.
