Gunnar Henderson

John T. Morgan Academy graduate Gunnar Henderson has made an impression on the Baltimore Orioles despite some challenges to minor league experience in 2020, according to an article on the team's website.

Henderson, 19, was signed on to the Orioles earlier this year after playing for Morgan Academy as a shortstop. He is a prospect for the team and has played a number of professional games.

According to the story, Henderson hit .259 with a home run and 11 runs batted in or RBIs while playing at Gulf Coast.

He recently came to Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, FL for the Instructional League where he interacted with pitchers who had major league experience.

The story spoke highly of Henderson, who made an impression on the team while playing in Sarasota. It also noted that he is versatile, saying that he plays all positions with the exception of pitcher, catcher and right field.

The article said that Henderson is currently preparing himself to play for potential minor league games next year.
