GAW Antiques

GAW Antiques on Water Avenue has a new owner with plans of redevelopment.

The former GAW Antiques across from the St. James Hotel has been bought by a Tampa developer that has plans of redeveloping it into apartment lofts and retail.

Invictus Development, which built the apartment complex Lodges on Lincoln off Highland Avenue, has purchased the historic antique store on Water Avenue for an undisclosed amount and has already started work to clear it out for renovation.

The 11,000-square-foot, three story building is being redesigned to have about six apartment lofts on the upper floors and retail on the bottom floor, Invictus President Paula Rhodes told the Selma Sun.
