Blackbelt Benefit Group (BBG) will return to First Saturday Selma this weekend with live music after an absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

BBG will present blues musician Hurricane Elaine Hudson. This event will be held on Lauderdale Street, which is near 118 - 120 Lauderdale Street from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“We are so excited to be with our community once again,” said BBG Executive Director Devon Gray. “COVID-19 and the associated quarantine has highlighted the value of what we do as an organization. Blackbelt Benefit Group uses events featuring food, music, and art, these basic things that everyone can relate to, to provide a sense of togetherness for our community. That has never felt more important than right now.”

BBG requests that attendants observe guidelines regarding COVID by wearing face masks, maintaining six feet from each other, and sanitizing whenever possible.
