A juried art show sponsored by Black Belt Treasures Cultural Arts Center (BBTCAC) is calling for artists in the region to submit their works for a chance to win $1,000 worth in prizes.

The theme of this year's show will be water in the Black Belt region.

The show is open to all BBTCAC artists and those living in the region whose entries must be original works completed in the last five years. Works inspired from photographs must be those that the artist took or have the permission of the photographer.

An artwork label must be secured at the back of each entry so that they can be identified.

Oil, acrylic, watercolor, pen and ink, pencil, pastel, conte crayons, markers, mixed media, charcoal paintings, and three-dimensional artworks are acceptable to use for works.

"Maximum finished (framed) dimensions for ALL works (2D & 3D) must be no larger than 36” by 36”," says a message from BBTCAC. "All entries must be display ready: framed or gallery wrapped, and READY for hanging."

Entries should be turned in by Jan. 6. They can be emailed to info@blackbelttreasures.com or delivered in person to the center at 209 Claiborne Street in Camden.
