Applications for the Alabama Arts Recovery Program and other efforts to assist arts organizations are open. 

The Alabama Arts Recovery Program is being supported by the American Rescue Plan, passed in response to the COVID pandemic. 

$814,100 from the National Endowment for the Arts was designated to help arts organizations ranging from small to medium and large.

Funds will be granted to cover the costs of personnel, facility, health/safety supplies, marketing/promotion, as well as technology and equipment. Grants of $10,000, $15,000, $20,000, and $25,000 are available. 

The deadline to apply for this program is Sunday, July 18 at 5 p.m. 

An annual grants cycle for arts in education grants and project grants is also open for projects occurring between January 1 and September 30, 2022. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, Sept. 1 at 5 p.m. 

This includes applications for folk arts apprenticeship "to preserve and pass on Alabama's traditional arts." For more information on this, email Anne Kimzey at anne.kimzey@arts.alabama.gov
